A single individual in the “zoo” Eliport today is a 4-wheeled electric robot car, with a carrying capacity of 30-40 kg and a range of autonomous travel up to 25 km at one gas station. The robot is equipped with dozens of sensors, a lidar and a radar, it can draw knowledge from a map of the locality and get coordinates with GPS. It moves completely independently, without operator control.
The algorithm for using Eliport-bots looks like this: in the warehouse, the crane puts a bag of cargo into the cargo compartment of the robot, then it maneuvers along the sidewalks to the target, where it moves the package to a special “mail box”. Users will have to put these at home, if they want to use the services of the service. But Eliport-drone will not push anyone’s feet and get under the car, will not create a risk for their cargo.
